Scholarships

Southern Cross University (QLD $ NSW)
a. SCU International Women in STEM Scholarship -
The applicant must be a female international onshore student.
Apply to study a full-time (8 units per year) undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree from the School of Environment Science and Engineering or School of Health and Human Sciences or Bachelor/Master of IT, in the Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour campuses.
Applicant must have a high academic performance in maths and science and meet the minimum admission requirements of the University.
Students must successfully complete all units in their progression, by obtaining at least a pass in all units, to remain eligible for the scholarship.
Students must meet the attendance requirements of their program and student visa to remain eligible for the scholarship.
Citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand are not eligible to apply.
VALUE - $8,000 fee reduction each year
b. Advancement Scholarship -
Apply to study full-time (8 units per year), full undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at either the Gold Coast, Lismore of Coffs Harbour campus.
Completed either:
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Southern Cross University
Two sessions of Study Abroad at Southern Cross University.
Meet the minimum admission requirements of the University.
Students must successfully complete all units in their progression, by obtaining at least a pass in all units, to remain eligible for the scholarship.
Students must meet the attendance requirements of their program and student visa to remain eligible for the scholarship
Citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand are not eligible to apply.
VALUE - $15,000 per year
c. Outstanding Academic Excellence scholarship
CRITERIA: "International Students who are commencing in Session 2, 2020, Session 1 2021.
Students must be full time (ie. 3 units or more in each Study period)
Offshore or onshore
Students must be able to demonstrate a very high standard of Entry into the course Monty has guided at least a credit
Student must be studying one of the courses outlined."
VALUE: $15,000 per year, up to $60,000
d. Vice Chancellor's International Diversification Scholarship
CRITERIA: "Apply to study a full-time (8 units per year) undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at either the Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour campus.
Exceed the minimum admission entry requirements of the University.
Undergraduate entry: A qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 and the required entry grade for the program for which they have applied; and English language comparable to Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5.*
Postgraduate entry: A qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree; and English language comparable to Academic IELTS 6.5*.
Students must successfully complete all units in their progression, by maintaining at least a pass in all units, to remain eligible for the scholarship.
Students must meet the attendance requirements of their program and the student visa conditions to remain eligible for the scholarship
Citizens or permanent residents of Australia, New Zealand are not eligible.

VALUE: $8000 per year
We continue to support students via our generous scholarship program.
As discussed continuing scholarship year/s the value is merit based and calculated on the previous scholarships year's course GPA (across your 8 units completed):
GPA 4.0 to 5.4 - Reduced scholarship amount of $5000
GPA 5.5 to 7.0 - Maintain scholarship of $8000
Please note that payments will be applied per unit to the maximum scholarship amount for that scholarship year.

Accommodation

On-campus accommodation

A range of on-campus accommodation options are available at four residential colleges across the Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses. Apartments are modern and fully furnished, with their own kitchen, lounge, dining area and bathroom.

SCU Village is managed by Campus Living Villages in partnership with SCU. From movie nights and themed parties to study groups and cooking classes, life on-campus offers everything you need to make the most of your university experience.

Off-campus accommodation

While living on-campus is one way to experience university, many students prefer to find their own accommodation to live a more independent lifestyle. UniStays is a free service that helps you find off-campus long and short-term accommodation options, such as share-houses, apartments and granny flats.
