Scholarships

Chisholm Institute understands the importance of supporting our international students. That is why we offer a range of scholarships which may be updated each year.
*Victoria Scholarship Program: Students must complete their supported course and continue on to their principal course in order to be eligible. Each scholarship is valued at A$2,500 and conditions apply.
*International Student Academic Scholarship: Academic Scholarships are offered to existing international students based on academic performance and attendance/participation. Academic scholarships are awarded annually to students following receipt of applications by students and a merit-based selection process. Students will be notified when applications open each year.

*International Remote Higher Education Scholarship: In order to support international students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chisholm has introduced remote delivery of some of our more popular qualifications. Students are now able to commence their programs remotely before transitioning to Melbourne, Australia when possible.

Accommodation

When you arrive in Australia, we can provide you with accommodation information from the local community at no charge.
To make life easier for you, we strongly suggest you live within one hour travel time of your campus.

1. Homestay accommodation

Some students find living with a local family a great way to learn about the Australian lifestyle.
Chisholm uses the services of Australian Homestay Network to source appropriate accommodation. Students over 18 years of age need to arrange homestay directly through them. For students under 18 years of age, Chisholm will accept care arrangements.

2. Short-term arrival accommodation

We can help to arrange short term hostel or budget hotel accommodation if you plan to organize your own long term accommodation after you arrive in Melbourne. Costs range from $70 to $100 per night.
An accommodation placement fee of $100 is payable to Chisholm and not refundable. We are not liable for this service, which is operated by private businesses.

3. Private rental and shared housing

In Australia renting is a formal and legal agreement, signed by you and a registered real estate agent.
It gives you rights and responsibilities. You can choose to live in a share house, where each person has their own room and shares other areas (kitchen, living areas, bathroom and laundry).
